You're welcome and I figured until it's explicit that would be the answer. If I'm going to buy metal I'd rather buy from the designer to support the next amazing thing you come up with. I really want to put one in my Bobcat.

If I was to DIY a metal SS, I'd either print one on an LCD printer in a jewelry resin & cast it with a vacuum casting machine, or go the lost PLA metal casting route like Robinson Foundry.

Someone made mold files for casting them out of Zinc12 (Tree of Liberty, and the Tree of Political Leverage). You can find the original posts with detailed instructions on the Fosscad subreddit, though the guy never followed up with any info on how well they held up.

There is no difference in the safety of the LR-308 and an AR-15. I've 3d printed several. I'm currently working on casting them out of aluminum using lost PLA casting. I'll post the results when they're completed and tested.

mizer19 LR-308 bolt carriers are different and require a custom lever design with a spring loaded top.

The real question is if anyone has seen excessive wear from using a metal Super Safety?

FunYun I assume you are referring to receiver wear. I've run metal cams in plastic and metal lowers without any signs of wear. The surface pressure is simply not high enough to cause a problem, assuming the cams surface is not particularly rough.

I’ve seen another twin bros like company selling them and there are being sold on Etsy sometimes I’ve gotten many quotes for getting the parts 3d printed in steel and it’s around $30 per part before shipping it be better to order this from a USA based printer to avoid itar issues I’m planing on ordering some but am afraid for my dog

Hoffman do you think I would run into issue getting a local metal 3d printer to print for me I’ve talked with them in the past about printing a binary trigger for me and we’re happy to give me a quote

How about carbon fiber, or kevlar? You can print those at home with the right printers and filaments.

TheElderBrother PA12-CF is what I had the most success with. Works pretty good.

I’d love to know how you did yours. I brought your files and guide to a local machinist and he said it would take very small and expensive tools. He wanted to design to make it “easier” to machine, but I would like to stay true to what you built.
Also if I 3dprint the arm from PA6-CF and have a stainless cylinder how long do you think that would last?
