Selector Switch

Should I be able to switch from safe to fire when the gun is not "cocked"? Currently, I can only switch it after I have pulled the charge hammer back. Seems like that is wrong to me, but I am not a gun expert.

When I switch between the two modes, they function correctly, but it just seems odd that I can't switch at any time.

MrSkippy That's how a normal safety works too. - I use it as a hammer down indicator which would imply the firearm is in a state that cannot fire. I also don't know how you can have the hammer down when the SS was on safe to begin with.
