I have a SL-9 frame v2.8 that I recently discovered has a small crack along the layer lines between the bolt catch, hammer pin and trigger pin. This frame is only 6mo old and only has about 100 rounds through it. Is this a big deal or not a big deal, could it turn into a big deal?
Print specs:
• Polymaker Black Fiberon PA612-CF carbon fiber filament
o Dry spool 100C 10hr
o After print rest on build plate 36hr
o Anneal in oven 100C 16hr
• .2 layer height
• Walls: .4 top/bottom, .45 outer, .5 all other
• Infill 100% lines – direction [50,140]
• Temp 285C, bed 45C
• Speed 50
• Supports as prescribed
o Modifier: INFILL MESH
o Enforcer: CUTTING MESH
My questions:
• Would you fix, ignore or toss the frame?
• When in your opinion would you feel it’s a safety issue? (not taking you to court on this, just looking for a 2nd opinion)
Thanks in advance for any ideas…..
