HT SL-9 complete kit

I'm having issues with the BCG not closing all the way. It stops about 1/8" from being closed and only closed after you pull the trigger. I have never fired it. It's brand new, just built and I can't figure out what I've done wrong. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. I can't get videos to upload to the forum. This forum is almost as frustrating as the SL-9.

I've messed with this all day. I've interchanged the Super Safety out of my Super Lower 3.0 AR-15. No change. I have swapped in the mil-spec saftey that came with the kit and everything works flawless. It has to be in the lever. I'm not blaming Tim H. BUT... I did buy this SL-9 complete kit with the hopes none of this would happen. I don't want to go grinding away on the BCG or the Upper. I don't care about the lower. I can print plenty of those. I just want it to work.
Does anyone have any suggestions?? I know I ask that before but I was kinda hoping to get this figured out.

So everything works without the super safety right?

If everything works without the super safety then yes I do think it's the lever that is causing this issue.

Check out my profile and posts I have been writing to others on how to resolve issues with their metal super safeties.

Now mind you it's not Mr. Hoffman's fault it's the manufacturer's of the metal super safeties, the original design was intended to be 3d printed, plastic is more elastic than metal and therefore wouldn't cause any of these issues.

undeadchew my BCG doesn't get stuck in the rear position. It gets stuck about 1/4" from full closing. Here is a video of what is happening.

undeadchew I'm not blaming Mr. Hoffman. I know he didn't realize this was going to be a issue.
The part about it being designed in plastic... I think it was prototyped in plastic. If you go back and watch the video that introduced the Super Safety on YouTube...
Tim had already had one printing out of metal and discussed it in the video. I think it was planned to be printed out of metal to begin with. The printed ones are useless. It does look like it needs a redesign on the lever and have a slightly shorter version.

Wait, I'm sorry for the oversight on my part. In order for the super safety to work with an AR9, the BCG does need to have certain dimensions, typically the bcg weight needs to be removed and modified with a notch taken out of it for the super safety's lever to sit in. I assumed you already did this.

undeadchew I'm going to make the BCG weight match the weight in this picture. Hopefully this fixes it.

Looks like you got the correct solution.

As to metal vs. plastic, plastic was always the goal, but became less practical with the dual mode cam due to the small contact surface. It will still run for several hundred rounds if done right, so not completely worthless. Single mode cams actually hold up really well, could probably due 1K rounds.
