Hi, I printed an SL-9 lower and used the HT kit to complete the build (after two consecutive BCA uppers sheared the charging handle within one magazine of use(!)). I initially used a steel SS purchased from a member (who I won't name because I'm sure it's my fault, not his). With the SS in place, the BCG would not fully close into battery after charging- there was about a 0.5 cm gap where the rear of the shell casing was visible. After (very tentatively) pulling the trigger, the bolt would snap into correct position but without firing (which was probably fortunate). But obviously the charging handle had to be reset to put the trigger into firing position which ejected an unused bullet and the same process repeated.
I swapped out the SS for the standard selector switch and everything worked fine. Based on some posts I found on the forum and the assembly video, I lightly sanded the top surface of the SS lever as well as the underside of the top notch of the disconnector plate. I reinstalled the SS and still had the same issue.
I re-reinstalled the standard selector switch and everything worked great.
Any ideas where to troubleshoot from here?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
