How about a Super Safety trouble shooting page?

Seems like that could be useful as popular as these are starting to get.
I'm having two issues. I may have figured out one of them. In SS mode I am not disconnecting. No forced reset. It basically runs semi. Is that from taking the left side of the trigger down too far? I'll cut another trigger and test.
Second issue is that if I pull the bolt all the way to the rear with the charging handle, the bolt locks in place. It was doing this when I fired it. It stopped when I started using a hydraulic 308 buffer. What is causing this to stick?
I am running a CMMG delayed blow back 45acp.

Does the supersafety work without the upper on the lower, where you actuate everything by hand?

I was considering doing a write up with pictures included showcasing the process of troubleshooting and getting metal super safeties working, I assume that is what you're talking about a Metal Super Safety that you bought?

First I would address the binding of the top of the lever with the bolt carrier group, I had to file down every single metal lever I purchased to prevent binding, so I would file a little bit off and refit it, charge it, and repeat until the binding is gone. Let me know if you need a picture showing the surface I am referring to.

The same thought process should be taken when rounding the trigger, make small cuts and test in between to find what works, by moving the super safety lever by hand without the upper attached.

It is a Hoffman metal SS. So attempting it manually without the upper gets the same results. It does not disconnect or reset.
Yes, pictures would be great. I don’t want to file the wrong place.

The highlighted surface that I have filed down is what fixed the binding...

Report back what happens after you modify a new trigger with less material removed than the last. I think that should enable the SS to reset/disconnect.

Filed the top down , no more binding.
Cut a new trigger, it functions as it should by hand. I’ll fire it in the morning. Thank you for your help. I think this is going to be running as it should.

Ran it this morning. Had to switch the buffers around a little. It didn’t like the hydraulic buffer or the H3. Runs great on a H2. Might drop to a H buffer. The bolt carrier has a tungsten weight pinned in it.
This is the first time I’ve fired one of these. I have a registered lower M-16.
I can see this will take a little getting used to. But $80 compared to 30k. These things are great. I hope they make them for many more platforms.
