  • The Evolution Of The Pocket Pleaser - A Ruger LCP Frame

I figured I'd share some photos of the prototype builds for the Pocket Pleaser frame I've been working one for over a year now. I plan on having an open beta on this forum soon, so look out for it. So far, the closed beta on Deterrence Dispensed has gone well and would love to get more people contributing to testing!

Forum is giving me an error when I try to upload more than 2 images so I'll just keep these here for now. Here are more recent images of how the design looks now. Give me a follow if you want updates on this project!

(Edit: Aha! It seems like linking directly from X works nicely too!)

Good project! How hard are the parts kits to find?

I'll investigate the image attachment limits. Something in the config.

For the original LCP only, or LCP II as well?

hoffmantactical The 2mb limit per image is a good idea, but yeah. I think I hit a picture quantity limit and spat out a "Try again later" error. Linking from X or other places will probably be fine and means I wont have to upload them here a second time. Save you some server storage space 😉

And they are easy to find for sure. They're a bit harder to get now that I've posted about this project for about a month now, but they're around. I find the LCP kits are plentiful otherwise though. Cheap too. Around $80-$120 if you bid for them. Dunno how it's gonna look now since those who list parts kits definitely follow the community and react accordingly lol. Find them on GunBroker, EGP and eBay weekly.

j2a Original LCP for now. LCP II and LCP Max eventually! I know this frame styling looks like the LCP II but it's for the original version at the moment.

How does it cycle compared to stock setup?

James The same way I suppose, if I understand your question correctly. It functions the same as the original LCP. The frame is printed and I have a metal rail section that acts as reinforcement.

Curious if it helps at all with the LCP notorious fail to fully chamber without a tap on the slide, which Ruger tells me is a feature of its low reciprocating mass, not a bug 🙂

James Yeah it's been a recurring issue I've found too. My design does change the angle and catch heigh of the magazine slightly to better aid in feeding, and so far that has helped ALOT. I still have some flat nose brands that dont like to cycle but I think that's just a quirk of the original design.
