SL-15 stock

SL-15 stock...With the buffer tube kit from the store (hose clamp support) ... are there strength benefits using the 3D printed stock over an adjustable stock?
Considering a folding stock adaptor from sylvan... gen4.
Thoughts?

Nope. The stock is non structural, the buffer tube takes all the load.

The folder might have an issue with the thicker buffer tower.

hoffmantactical Thank you for that information...and insight. I'll proceed with caution with the folder. I'll leave another post either way...whether successful or not when I do the build.

The sylvan arms folder isn't compatible with sl-15 based on the rear takedown pin dent/spring being on the opposite side in the print. The left folder looks like otherwise it would be compatible.

undeadchew Might need to trim the spring a little, but it should. I'm assuming the issue is the folder won't cover the spring hole? It could be curved over more. Send a picture when you get one with the folder installed. Also, that FreeCAD?

Yes this is FreeCAD, FreeCAD for life!
Also yes I have been using this threaded hole in all my designs and I do trim my springs.

I have no plans on testing the sylvan folder, I'll leave that to Mtvlac.
I just experienced the same issue when I was modifying the SL15 & SL9 to to be compatible with Maxim, and SB Tactical HBPDW braces, the extra grub screw is also used in the same way in my FM15 Zhukov model.
Overall I would just use this on every model as it makes assembly easier and contains the parts to the lower.
Edit: Oh and my plastic honey badger lower uses it.
