I finally committed to buying my first 3D printer (Qidi plus 4) to start making various things. Currently my main interest is in printing the DD.17 frame. However, since buying my printer, I feel like my lack of knowledge in printing will translate to something blowing up in my hand/face on the first attempt. I started with ctrl pew's getting started guide, but I feel like there's a lot that isn't covered in the guides. I still have no idea what my filament settings should be, what the max volumetric speed should be (or even what it is), and a plethora of other settings that factor into making a quality and durable print.
I'd argue I'm able to learn a lot on my own. I learned how to replaced the brake pads and rotors, struts, etc. on my car from youtube videos, but I'm having trouble finding a good singular resource for 3D printing things like glock frames and the like.
This is definitely a humbling experience, and I'm realizing there is a ton of things I still don't understand yet about 3D printing. So my question is this: is there one primary source where I can learn what I need to about 3D printing (other than ctrl pew) that you would recommend?
