Ht ss Operates fine manually racking bolt. Dead trigger after one shot

I have went thru and tried suggestions from other post with no luck. Trigger resets fine in ss mode manually. Hammer has fallen but trigger not reset after one round. H3 buffer/milspec spring. Bought Hoffman super safety kit with trigger already cut.

Houstonhls Measure of the angle at which the lever resets or pushes your finger forward while manually moving the lever to the rear. In my experience the lever should reset nearly at 90 degrees vertical and too far past will allow an early release of the hammer. Hammer fallen on 2nd round indicates an early release or trigger pull, which would lead me to believe that the trigger is overcut. But when you say it's a hoffman super safety, do you mean you purchased this from hoffmantactical.com or another SS retailer?

I would try a lighter buffer weight if you want to just make it work.

Yes purchased a kit from Hoffman tactical. Trigger resets in the 90 degree position. Tried a milspec buffer and still same issue.

Houstonhls Do you have any kind of bolt binding when charging to the rear, and are you using lubrication?

Nothing noticeable on bolt binding. I even went ahead and removed a little material on the top of the arm like you suggestion in other post. One time of testing after removing a little material it fired two rounds then dead trigger after that. Yes plenty of lubrication

I have tried two pre cut Hoffman tactical ss kits. Both of them reset at this point.

I have cut a new trigger. This is my new reset spot with the new cut mill spec trigger. First test fire get 3 round burst then dead trigger. Then single shot and dead trigger. Semi mode and safe work as they should.

Houstonhls Thanks for the pictures, this reset angle does look like it's an overcut trigger to me.

Your lever appears to be around 15 degrees past 90.

This photo is with the new milspec cut trigger. And where it resets. After I cut this trigger I got the 3 round burst then dead trigger. Then single shot and dead trigger.

Houstonhls At what angle is the lever when it lets you pull the trigger to move the lever forward?

undeadchew my lever is pretty much touching the hammer before release. Does that mean I need to round more of my trigger?

It is very close to touching the hammer when it will let me pull the trigger

Houstonhls If it's not too burdensome would you be able to share the rounded trigger corner and cam surface on the SS?

I'm not seeing any glaring issues just yet, from what you've shown me I would expect the SS to function properly.

Houstonhls You had stated that the hammer has fallen causing a light primer strike on the 2nd round, moving more material from the trigger would not fix that.

The cut trigger in the picture looks very roughly cut, there should be no burrs on the side or extra material that isn't flush on the inside wall, the corner itself needs to be smooth without jagged edges. Take some more time to polish it out.
