undeadchew leviathan92 This is recycled PLA and I modified the design to be thinner (weaker) and removed the metal hose clamp. I did reprint and it cracked at the top in the middle again, then I reinforced with a hose clamp and it seems okay now.
hoffmantactical I have. Push up destruction testing. Not catastrophic, and the gun should keep running until the lower is replaced. Generally if you ran into this problem during normal use its probably due to poor layer adhesion. I would disassemble and complete the break so you can see what the fracture looks like.
hoffmantactical leviathan92 Could definitely improve adhesion here! I would slow the print down, maybe bump up the flow rate a tiny bit, and try and get the print area warmer if possible. Let me know what settings you used and I can get more detailed.
leviathan92 Is there something I could have don’t differently during printing? I just ordered some PET CF from Bambu Lab. I was going to reprint with that. Also I printed it in a P1S.
hoffmantactical With PLA not much gain past 215. I use 210 most times. Cooling settings and ambient temp are far larger factors.
