DookieBread Hello all! After a few weeks of printing accessories and getting used to my 3D printer, I decided I wanted to start a smaller 3d2a print and chose the DeAR22. My questions are simple: What causes the layer lines at the top of every hole in the reciever? How can one get rid of them? Would these singular layer lines be a stress point that would cause me to want to reprint the lower? Pictures attached, printed in Inland Pla+ Black. 80mm/s at 225C on a Centauri carbon https://imgur.com/a/aakCoSV
wolfblack DookieBread i was about to say lower ur wall speeds but 80mms it a good speed hmmm id say maybe layer height lines but id put it together then shoot it 22lr shouldn't cause it to snap quick especially a lower. if it works it works ! what brand of filament u using also how long did it take to finish on the cc ??
DookieBread wolfblack I’m using inland Pla+, I think the lower took somewhere around 11 or 12 hours to complete. I’ve printed other parts without these lines as bad over holes, I think we turned the fan in the room on that night perhaps. Will reprint eventually
wolfblack DookieBread if never used inland filaments but its crazy how fans mess with the cosmetic quality of the prints haha but iv learned to except print ugliness and aim for function !! i have a dd17 with horrible layer lines around the holes and it hasn't split open. and even if it feels like a waste every print is a test of function even if u follow the settings of the project every filament and printer are different sadly..
