Continued Binding Issues

I had a post a few days about my AR-15 with an Aero lower and Aero upper having binding issues... I have a few other uppers I want to use the SS with, so I don't want to have to dremel ALL the "shelves" on the uppers just to use this thing.
I was told to file off some material off the lever. I don't know if it was very successful, or if I did not take enough material off, but I do have further information on my binding issue:
If I don't have the rear takedown pin in the gun, the upper will move EVER SO SLIGHTLY off the lower, and the SS lever will be able to "reset" without issue. I have a picture of this phenomena here.. In the first picture, you can ever so slightly see the lever in the gap, it's just to the right of where the rear take down pin is.

What's the solution to this? Do I have no choice but to dremel the upper shelf? Or do I continue to file down the lever? If the latter is the solution, does anyone have pictures of how much they filed off their lever?

So.. question: Does this happen only when the lever is in the rear position? If it is only ever so slight in the rear position, try dropping one or two quarters into the buffer tube (take out the buffer and the spring, drop the quarters in, and put the buffer and spring back in). to move the bolt a little forward, this may give you enough clearance to avoid the shelf. I think you can, at max, add 3 quarters, before you loose the bolt catch functionality. If it is more than that, you'll have to likely do rocket surgery.

Not sure what you mean by "when the lever is in the rear position," but this happens when the bolt goes back and I guess when the lever does go into the rear position.

I've tried putting quarters in, that didn't fix it.

FWIW, I have a VLTOR Extended Buffer Tube. Could that be the culprit?

TheBigJDawg When the bolt goes back to the (rear) it also engages the lever. Which moves the lever to the rear and hopefully rotates the cam and the cam engages with the trigger to push your finger forward.

Now to what you just mentioned with the extended buffer tube I could see that potentially being an issue if you also don't have an extended (A5) buffer to go inside of the tube. Using a carbine buffer inside an A5 buffer tube may allow for bolt over travel which would bind with the Super Safety. You would need an A5 spring as well.

I'm using an H2 buffer. I believe that it came with the extended tube.
