Hello, after a few range trips I am beyond frustrated and looking for help.
I have a 16” PSA that I put a fudd arms ss in. I am having an issue on getting it to run reliably. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Passed the bench and function test but has cold feet at the range.
Odin adjustable buffer, I started at 5oz and went all the way up to 6.4 with the weights. No change.

I noticed it was hitting the upper in the initial function test, so I dremeled out to the locking block. That took care of my binding feeling. I spent hours at the first range day with no luck. I was experiencing what I was thinking was bolt bounce with a dead trigger and light strikes. I got it to fire two rounds in succession after putting 4 quarters in the buffer tube. But that’s it.
Today I met a friend at the range to troubleshoot this. Added a Sprinco blue and still had the same issue as last time. We swapped his suppressed DDM4 upper onto my lower and it ripped through 4 magazines with no issues (besides being so gassy I choked). Put my upper back on and I’d say out of 25 tries it ran well about 4 times, so I know it will run just have to figure out what is hindering it at times. It would work when it wanted to, sometimes through an entire magazine or only 5 rounds before dead trigger/light strike.
