Super safety only shooting one round then hard trigger

I have a PSA stealth pistol lower , BCA 10.5 upper
4.6oz buffer weight with a quarter in there lol
When I tested it I shot in auto and it shot with no problem , but when I switched to ss mode it fired . Chambered the next round but did not reset the trigger or I had a hard trigger/fully pressed trigger
What should I try doing ? I cut my trigger with the jig it came with
Also super safe mode works great when testing it at home with and without the BCA with no stickiness or anything so not sure what to do at this point.

At what angle does the lever reset the trigger? It should be near vertical.
When you open the gun after the malfunction has the hammer fallen?
Read some of my posts by clicking my profile about tuning/modding the lever to alleviate bolt binding instead of using a quarter in the buffer tube.

I need to pull the lever manually to the letter “R” on fire so yea a bit passed the straight up position to reset it and to fire on the letter “F” or about 130 degrees
When I shoot it and open it the hammer is dropped or released so need to take mag out and almost rack the round to reset the trigger and then shoot
Haven’t had any issues with binding I put the quarter bcz of some recommendations I was given by a gun store near me

I saw the video, no worries the quality is great compared to what others have shown me in the past. Also I appreciate the socks! You know how certain people like to show their toes.

It's very close but since you are experiencing this issue with the early hammer fall, I have to recommend that you cut a new trigger with less material removed, this will move the angle forward at which the lever resets and unlocks the trigger.

Angelsxt6 It's okay check my profile by clicking my name/picture I have written about this many times, the left side which is rounded and interacts with the cam.

undeadchew I hit the left side with 800 sandpaper just a bit instead of the dremel

undeadchew also trigger pull is about 2 pounds heavier than on semi auto with the new trigger cut but still can pull the trigger without putting too much pressure on it not sure if that’s a good thing , it used to feel super light

That’s the new trigger with way less material in general works with upper with no issues as well now need to just shoot it unless you see something off

Angelsxt6 It's normal to have increased trigger pull weight, as long as it still feels usable, you could polish the surface, and or remove more material but then if you do too much you end up where you started.

Oh yeah for everyone else's reference I chatted with Angel on discord we found out the issue was he was using an out of spec 3d printed cam and lever off ebay.

I have the super safety and with an 18" upper ( I think it's a mid-length gas system ), it operates flawlessly. If I use a 20" upper ( Rifle length gas system ), it will not work. I've tried the quarter trick which only made things worse. I have a Geissele H2 buffer and super 42 spring. Does the extra two inches of barrel make that much of a difference? Or do I need to buy an H3 buffer for the 20" upper to work?

blueknight01 All these reddit recommendations are just hacks that are wrong and thoughtless.

Also what is wrong? You didn't describe your issues you are experiencing so I can't really offer any insight.

But to start with I run H1 buffers, no quarters, no grinding my upper receiver. I have experienced bolt binding with the metal SS kits and the way to resolve that is to file down the surface of the SS lever that contacts the BCG until bolt binding stops when function testing by charging the handle.

Like I said it works flawlessly with the 18" barrel. When I use the 20' barrel, it'll only fire 1 time, fails to load another round, then I have to rack it to load another round. As far as the quarter trick goes, I only tried it once with the 20" barrel, then I remove the quarters. I have some H1 buffers, guess I'll try one of those to see if it makes a difference. I've done absolutely no grinding on any thing nor do I plan too. At the present, I haven't experienced any binding at all. The lower I'm using is a sons of liberty, mil spec trigger and hammer. I'm just not understanding why it works with the 18" barrel and not the 20" barrel.

Does the 20in run fine without the SS?

As to why it would work with 18 but not 20 would make me think that the 20in makes the BCG out pace your magazine (this could be due to variation in gas port size with the 20in having a larger gas port allowing more gas to flow), what magazine are you using? A dry lube could help speed up magazine feeding, PTFE, silicone, graphite.

Personally I would be using an adjustable gas block to reduce the gas to slow everything down, but you have other options.

undeadchew The 20" upper cycles fine on the other lowers I have ( No SS ), using the SS in semi mode, it will not load another round using the same mags ( All steel ). The ejected cases land in the 3:30-4 O'clock position on every lower including the one with the SS. I also have other barrels I can try ( 16" and another 20" ) to see if they work or have the same problem.
