Help Newbie with troubleshooting please

Bought a Hoffman super safe at the gun show last weekend. Bought another AR to put it in. In super mode I get 2 0r 3 rounds and then it loads the next round but dead trigger. I pulled it out and put it in a Ruger AR that I had a binary in and same thing. Both guns have millspec bolt carrier. The Ruger has a heavier spring. I have tried adjusting my trigger pull to no avail.

ShaneFromMissouri That leads me to believe the lever could be binding against the BCG, adding extra friction slowing everything down.

I would remove a little bit of material from the lever as shown in green in my picture. I have done this tune to every metal super safety I have installed, as I have experienced when charging the firearm that the bolt can get stuck in the rear. I used a file.

ShaneFromMissouri Another thing is the trigger could be overcut, at what angle does the lever reset the trigger? should be close to vertical/ 90 degrees from the horizontal plane. If the lever has to be moved too far back that could be a telling sign that is the actual issue.
