Rotary style SS

I had an idea for a Super Safety that rotates, it uses levers that are conjoined with a rod through the middle, and have bumps on the inside, that ride in depressions on the receiver that push the SS through the positions.
Design isn't fully fleshed out, and I need to make a prototype model.

(by levers I mean the standard AR levers not the Super Safety lever)

I'd have to see a mockup to fully understand. The issue I ran into before moving to the push style safety was a lack of space. There is just not much room to work with!

Are you saying something along the lines of a paddle wheel? The only thing I can visualize from the description involves a slipper clutch and I'm sure that isn't right.
