SS help

Hello, my metal 3 position super safety works good when it’s in my lower, everything functions as it should.

However, when I put my upper on and switch it to SS I get a dead trigger. My single fire does work. Any help someone can give me? I haven’t found an answer to this by searching it up.

Sounds like it's unlocking too soon. Trigger may be overcut, or the lever may not have enough play.

hoffmantactical lever has a lot of play, the trigger was machined but I’ll try to put a different one in, see if that fixes it. I also asked Reddit and they were saying it could be my buffer weight, but I’m not sure how exactly that effects my already cocked trigger.

Buffer weight will have no effect with a properly tuned trigger. With an AR-15 that is, AR-9's are a different story.
